Stephen Y. Reed, M.D.
Dr. Reed, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, is a native of Monroe, Michigan and graduated from Monroe High School as its youngest Valedictorian. He continued his academic excellence at the University of Michigan and was selected into Phi Beta Kappa and the Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his Glaucoma Fellowship at the Kresge Eye Institute, Wayne State University. He provides southeastern Michigan and northwestern Ohio with expertise in anterior segment surgery. Dr. Reed was a national VISX LASIK trainer for over 5 years. He was selected as one of the top refractive surgeons in 1999, being named a VISX Star Surgeon. He is an avid family man and enjoys sports.

Stanley L. Tao, M.D.
Dr. Tao graduated summa cum laude from an accelerated
biomedical program and received his BS-MD degree from Albany
Medical College in New York. During medical school, he was a
Macy’s Scholar, receiving a full scholarship to the Mailman
School of Public Health at Columbia University in New York,
graduating with a Masters of Public Health in health policy
and management. He completed his ophthalmology residency at
the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Tao
then moved to Memphis, Tennessee to complete an intensive
two-year vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at the renowned
Vitreoretinal Foundation. He was awarded the Robert D.
Reinecke Prize for Research in Ophthalmology, and has
presented at the national symposium for the American Academy
of Ophthalmology. Dr. Tao manages a wide spectrum of medical
and surgical diseases of the vitreous and retina. He has
been involved in numerous national clinical trials aimed at
advancing current medical treatment strategies in the areas
of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy,
and other vascular diseases of the retina. Dr. Tao has
expertise in the surgical management of retinal detachment,
macular holes, and epiretinal membranes. He has particular
interest in utilizing cutting edge technology in surgical
repair of retinal disease. He is a member of the American
Academy of Ophthalmology and American Medical Association.
In his free time, Dr. Tao is an avid sports fan. Dr. Tao will be joining the Reed Vision team in
the August of 2008 specializing in Retina Ophthalmology.
Christopher R. Papp, M.D.
Dr. Papp, a Comprehensive
Ophthalmologist, received his B.S. in biophysics from the
University of Michigan and his Doctor of Medicine from the
University of Toledo College of Medicine. He completed his
residency training at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital, a
Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, in New York City. He is a
member of the AMA, AAO, and American Society of Cataract and
Refractive Surgery (ASCRS). During his career, Dr. Papp has
published in the British Journal of Ophthalmology on
intraocular lymphoma. He specializes in medical, cataract
and laser treatment of eye diseases. Dr. Papp will be
joining the Reed Vision Team in April 2008.

Brian W. Chinavare, M.D.
Dr. Chinavare, a General
Ophthalmologist, received his B.S. in cell molecular biology from the
University of Michigan and his Doctor of Medicine from the
University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his
residency training at Case Western Reserve University, in
Cleveland Ohio. Dr. Chinavare will be
joining the Reed Vision Team in February 2008.

Clair J. Hilchie Schmidt, D.O.
Dr. Schmidt is a Pediatric
Ophthalmologist and will be
joining the Reed Vision Team in August 2008.
Ken N. Feinauer, O.D.
Dr. Feinauer is skilled in all optometric services, as well as, a broad personal experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. Dr. Feinauer graduated cum laude with a B.S. Degree from Alma College and graduated with honors from The Michigan College of Optometry in Big Rapids, Michigan. He is a member of The Michigan Optometric Association & American Optometric Association. Dr. Feinauer enjoys patient interaction and his hobbies include reading and all forms of outdoor recreation.

Douglas E. Gillies, O.D.
Dr. Gillies is a licensed optometrist in Michigan and Ohio with diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical certification. He graduated from Tecumseh High School, attended Michigan State University, is a cum laude graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and has over twenty-five years of experience in private practice. He is a Past Zone Governor of the Toledo Area Optometric Society. Dr. Gillies and his wife, Barb, have two grown children: Laurie and her husband, Matt, live in Whitehouse, Ohio; and Jeff and his wife, Chastity, live in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Courtney A. Dewey, O.D.
Dr. Dewey is a licensed optometrist in Ohio and
Michigan. She graduated with a B.A. Degree from Wittenberg University and a Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Ohio State University College of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH). In 2005, she participated in a volunteer
eye care mission to tsunami-affected regions in
India. Dr. Dewey joined the Reed Vision team in June 2006 and provides complete family eye care with an interest in pediatrics and special-needs patients.

Spenser
J. Brittain, O.D.
Dr. Brittain graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Brittain has completed a post-graduate Residency Program where he gained experience in Glaucoma, Retina, Anterior Segment, Neurology, Pediatrics, and Oculoplastics. He
joined the Reed Vision team in October 2006 practicing Comprehensive Optometry and providing complete family eye care.

J. Aloi, O.D.
Dr. Aloi graduated from Westminster
College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania with dual majors of
Biology and Molecular Biology. He received his Doctor of
Optometry from The Ohio State University where he was named
Senior Binocular Vision Clinician of the Year for 1997. Dr.
Aloi was a graduate clinical and lab instructor while
working on his residency in pediatrics and binocular vision
at OSU. He has also served as a part-time staff doctor at
the Columbus Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic. Dr.
Aloi joined Reed Vision Associates in September of 2007 and
provides complete family eye care. In his spare time, he
enjoys running and biking. He has competed in several
marathons and duathalons, qualifying for the Boston Marathon
in 2005. Dr. Aloi and his wife, Lisa, have two young
children.

Robbin
W. Wagener O.D..
Dr. Wagener received her Bachelor of
Science Degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham and
her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Southern College of
Optometry in Memphis, TN. She is a member of numerous
Optometric Associations and Societies.
Dr. Wagener joined Reed Vision Associates in March 2008
practicing Comprehensive Ophthalmology and is experienced in
treating ocular conditions and diseases, with an emphasis on
dry-eye treatment.
